By DENNIS C. LOVENDINO (Based on the worship service lesson taught by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo in Bangkok, Thailand on June 12, 2011.) ASK ANY PROFESSED Christian if he loves God and his answer would most likely be in the affirmative. Then ask him how he proves it, and you could get responses that range from the most profound to the most trivial. "I go to church on a regular basis, pray at every opportune time, and give my generous contributions," one may retort. "I simply follow the golden rule—'Do not do unto others what you do not want others do unto you'," is a common reply. "I am a devotee of a patron saint, and I never fail to perform religious rituals in his honor," declares another. Others, while admitting that they do not attend church nor are they affiliated with any organized religion, maintain that God is constantly in their minds and hearts, and for them, that's all that matters. |

by Donald H. Pinnock THAT CHRIST IS THE SAVIOR is a basic Christian tenet. Thus many people profess their faith in and acceptance of the Lord Jesus, assuming that by so doing, they are already counted among those who belong to Him. However, mere acceptance of Christ is not enough to be counted among those who are recognized by Him, as can be gleaned from the following statement of the Savior: "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:44, New King James Version). |

Esta clase de problema enfrenta a organizaciones, religiosas o de otra manera, especialmente si su membrecía consiste de diferentes nacionalidades, tradiciones, y orígenes culturales. |

by Joel V. San Pedro (based on the worship service lesson taught by Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo at the local congregation of Balibago Central in Laguna on June 5, 2010) With only a few years remaining before the 100th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, the preparations of the entire Church are already underway. It is not only for a celebration that we are preparing. Above all, we want to give to the one true God even greater joy and glory by the time of the Church's centennial, with every individual member having led at least one other person to Him and to His Church to share in the grace of salvation. |
